On Purpose - To God be the Glory

Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That's why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. (Romans 8:26-28 The Message).

I don't know what good things God has in store for me in this coming year, but I do need to learn to trust in the fact that he has a plan and a purpose for my life.

He has a purpose for me in the relationships I have at home, church and work

He has a purpose for me to look deeper in to myself to see how he wants to continue work in me.

He has a purpose for me as I continue to seek the comfort and wisdom that can only come from him to share with others.

God has a plan for his good. Let me listen intently as his plan is revealed this year.

To God Be The Glory
Fanny Crosby

To God be the glory, great things He has done;
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,
And opened the life gate that all may go in.

Refrain

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
And give Him the glory, great things He has done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Refrain

Great things He has taught us, great things He has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we see.

Refrain

May I learn to have a truly believing faith in the creator and sustainer of all as I face the New Year's challenges and victories! May I bask in the face of his glory as the Adventure in Middle Grove continues in 2009.

And give Him the glory, great things He has done.
