"God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. "

2 Corinthians 1:3, NLT

This is where God exists not in the literal sense as the Comfort Inn for rest for my body but for peace in my soul.

As I look for the call to action as I keep in step with God's will and wisdom, I need to come to him for my comfort also. Just as God is the source of wisdom and mercy, he is the source of comfort. In times of trouble, there are many instances in scripture where the results of life seem bad but the God of comfort and mercy intervenes so his will is done.

Today, Lord be my source of comfort. Let the mercy and comfort of your being intervene in my life as we walk together on the Adventure in Middle Grove.

Rejoice?

"We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. "

I think this is a very amusing translation!

...When we run into problems and trials.

So I am not alone in being stupid!

One would think that as a follower of Christ I would have a verse that would say

"...when we avoid and dodge problems"

So I guess God already figured out that I was going to have a few issues in life.

But...

He provided a solution for me to follow.

avoid problems ?

run away from problems ?

Try to figure them out ?

NOPE

REJOICE,

when we have trials and challenges.



I should be rejoicing 24 x 7!

Lord help me to rejoice today and every day as you develop endurance in me while you challenge me on the Adventure in Middle Grove.
