"...Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. "
Isaiah 30:15, NLT
Sometimes Finding strength is in the quiet of the soul
In times of trouble or concern, it appears that the person who makes the most noise or is the biggest or baddest wins .
I have talked about this before.
The quiet and confidence in strength is not a subject for the talk show circuits
What makes the show is how loudly someone responds and how quickly the response comes at the other person.
Just last week this happened in rare fashion
Kanye West gave a performance that will never be forgotten at the MTV Video Music Awards, but unfortunately for him, it had nothing to do with his music. The rapper stormed on stage to unleash an astonishing rant during an acceptance speech by country starlet Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards last night. The 19-year-old singer, who was collecting Best Female Video for You Belong To Me, was left humiliated as West snatched the microphone from her hands. He turned to the audience and shouted that the gong should have gone to his friend Beyonce, for Single Ladies.
Not only was Taylor Swift humiliated, Kanye West spent the next week saying he was a jerk, probably drunk and he was sorry.
Well that is the antithesis of the verse for today.
Strength in Quiet, NOT here.
Lord, As I seek your wisdom and guidance give me strength and confidence in the quiet on the Adventure in Middle Grove.
